The Pit is pleased to present an installation of interactive artworks and a series of performances by Objects for Others. Performances will occur throughout the evening on September 9, 2018 from 4-7pm, and the installation will be on view through September 22. Additional performances will be announced on our website at www.the-pit.la.  

Comprised of dancer / choreographer Rebecca Bruno and object-maker Mak Kern, Objects for Others is a collaboration that embraces chance and meditation, pairing dance and kinetic sound sculptures. For their exhibition at The Pit, Objects for Others will suspend abstract sculptures from the ceiling of the gallery’s new space, The Pit Presents. Entitled A Room Plays Itself, the installation is meant to be activated by dancers and ordinary visitors alike in an experiment in both embodied and ethereal sound and an exploration of whole-body listening. The two-week exhibition will include several performances and sound baths staged by Bruno and Kern.
