Artist Talk
Keith Boadwee
The Pit is excited to invite you to an artist talk between California artists John Knuth and Keith Boadwee on the occasion of Boadee's career survey exhibition Keith Boadwee, Head to Toe: Works from 1990-2024 at The Pit LA.
WHEN: February 21, 2025 at 1pm.
WHERE: 3015 Dolores St, Los Angeles CA 90065
From John Knuth:
I was introduced to Keith Boadwee's work in the book Body art: performing the subject by Amelia Jones published in 2000. It was a peak into radical and celebratory art and ideas. It planted a seed for what art is and can be. 25 years later I am going to interview Keith in his survey exhibition Head to Toe: Works from 1990-2024. Dreams do come true! I think I have some good questions to ask Keith. I think that Keith and I can be witty and charming. Keith especially. Keith became known for his enema paintings. I became known for my fly paintings. I think I have some good questions to ask him about his varied career and approaches to work. I promise it won't be boring!
