The Pit is pleased to present Friends & Family of the CSULB CCC, a zine shop exhibition of small-scale ceramic sculptures by artists affiliated with the Center for Contemporary Ceramics at California State University, Long Beach, including Amy Bessone, Anabel Juarez, Anna Sew Hoy, Jennie Jieun Lee, Tony Marsh, and Christopher Miles.
Officially established in 2017 but in development for more than three decades, the CCC is overseen by Director and Professor Tony Marsh and operates in conjunction and constant collaboration with the Ceramic Arts Program, overseen by Professor Christopher Miles. The CCC is committed to fostering exchange, creative production, and learning beyond the curriculum among faculty and a diverse group of students, visiting artists and scholars, and artists in residence, with a goal of inspiring and empowering all participants to expand the limits of their own work to the benefit of both the participants in the CCC community and the broader field of contemporary ceramics.
