Frieze Projects: Inside Out
Art Production Fund presents the on-site public program Inside Out, featuring works that explore the theme of perspective—examining how personal histories and experiences shape our understanding of Los Angeles and its layered cultural landscape. This program invites visitors on a reflective journey through the city’s neighborhoods and histories, featuring works by a diverse group of acclaimed intergenerational artists. Inside Out is free and open to the public.
Artist Statement
Joel Gaitan continues the exploration of home and identity with an installation transforming a central pathway into a welcoming façade inspired by his Nicaraguan and Miami heritage. A hybrid of domestic architecture and personal memory, the work will feature terracotta-style roofing, ceramic-filled windows and a plant-laden balcony, creating a space for gathering and reflection while encouraging visitors to consider their own connections to place.
